The Basics

Proper Grip

Mouthpiece Insert & Removal

Put mouthpiece into your trumpet straight

Turn clock-wise till the mouthpiece stops turning with ease

To remove turn counter-clockwise until the mouth piece becomes look

Remove the mouthpiece by pulling it straight out

Proper Posture

Correct Posture (back straight; head, elbows, and trumpet up)

No crossed knees

No crossed ankles, leaning over, or slouching

No sitting with back against the chair
